Reports suggest Phil Foden could be rewarded for his club form with a bumper new deal at his boyhood team.
The England international scored a career-best 27 goals in all competitions this past campaign, and claimed the Premier League Player of the Year award.
Foden, 24, is currently with the Three Lions as they prepare for the 2024 UEFA European Championship in Germany.
According to The Sun, the midfielder could be made the highest-paid English player of all time, jumping from his current £200 000 (R4.8 million) weekly deal to match Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne's wages.
The Norwegian and Belgian are reportedly paid £375 000 (R9 million) a week under Pep Guardiola.
