Liverpool have reportedly agreed personal terms with a player who is believed to have incredible potential.
The 2020/21 season has been one to forget for the Premier League champions, who, with eight games remaining until the end of the season, are seventh on the league table.
Much of Jurgen Klopp's team's struggles have been attributed to their defensive problems following injuries to key players Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.
This has led to Liverpool seeking reinforcements in defence, with the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League winners having identified RB Leipzig's Ibrahima Konate as an option.
According to Anfield Central, the Reds have now reached an agreement over personal terms with the 21-year-old, with the club having offered him a weekly wage of £85 000 (R1.6 million).
Konate joined Leipzig from French club Sochaux in 2017, and has so far made 90 appearances for the Bundesliga club.
