New Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has revealed the reason why club legend Ryan Giggs has left the club and is not part of his coaching staff.

The Portuguese explained that the Welshman, who worked as assistant under Louis Van Gaal, wanted the job as Red Devils boss himself and is now looking for a club he can coach.
"It's not my responsibility that Ryan (Giggs) is not in the club. The job Ryan wanted is the job the club decided to give me – Ryan wants to be Manchester United manager," he said at his unveiling press conference.
"It's not my fault. They decided the job was for me. Ryan decided he wanted to be a manager. I decided myself, 14, 15 or 16 years ago, that I wanted to be a manager.
"He could be what he wanted in the club. The club wanted to give him any job in the club, but he made a decision where you have to be brave."
The Portuguese then compared Giggs' "brave" decision to leave United after 29 years with his own choice of leaving FC Barcelona when working as assistant under Louis Van Gaal.
"It is not easy. I was in Barcelona in 2000 and had a contract for two more years to be assistant – do you think it was easy for me to leave such a big club and go to a new fight?
"It was not easy and for Ryan it is not going to be easy going from assistant to manager.
"But good luck and if one day he wants to come back to the club while I am here I would never stop him coming back.
"If one day the club offers him the chance to become the manager I think it will be something natural and a consequence of success in his managerial career."
The Welshman came through United's youth academy and lifted unbelieveable 35 trophies during his time at the Old Trafford.

He took over as interim manager when David Moyes was sacked and was part of Van Gaal's coaching staff, but United announced his departure last week.
