England international Kyle Walker has been strongly linked with a departure from the Citizens ahead of the coming campaign.
Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel is believed to have made the 33-year-old a priority target amid reports the Bavarians have agreed personal terms with the fullback over a two-year contract.
The ex-Tottenham Hotspur right-back is no longer a guaranteed starter at City following Guardiola's most recent tactical tweaks in England, but could still have a future at the highest level.
Speaking on the weekend about whether or not Walker would still be at the club come the close of the window, the Spaniard seemed to admit that the English star is in the process of making a decision.
"Honestly, I didn't think there is the movement," he told reporters, according to Sportsmole.
"I think many things will happen. I cannot answer because I don't know. I want the best for my players and, of course, the club.
"I spoke with Kyle and everything is right – we will see what happens. I cannot tell you because he is still thinking about that."
