Despite waving goodbye to United fans at Old Trafford in their final home game last season, Frenchman Anthony Martial, 28, has not managed to secure a new contract yet for the 2024/25 campaign.
The former Monaco prodigy was recently linked with a free-agent switch to Brazilian outfit Flamengo before those talks fell through.
Martial was once considered among the brightest prospects in European football, but departed the Red Devils after scoring just 90 goals in nine years in England.
A former colleague of his, Brandon Williams, is another player still available as a free agent, while ex-Liverpool centre-back Joel Matip, 32, finds himself in the same boat.
Staying in England, 37-time Three Lions international Dele Alli has not landed a new club since parting ways with Everton in July. The 28-year-old attacking midfielder made just 13 appearances for the Toffees.
Elsewhere in Europe, former Monaco striker Wissam Ben Yedder and ex-Sevilla centre-back captain Sergio Ramos are without clubs, with Spain's all-time leading appearance-maker having recently been linked with a switch to the MLS.
The 38-year-old, who captained Los Blancos between 2015 and 2021, played 37 times across all competitions for Sevilla last season, scoring seven goals.
Experienced striker Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting also remains a free agent after his four-year spell at Bayern Munich came to an end following the conclusion of the previous campaign.
