According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, north Londoners Tottenham Hotspur have opened discussions over the possible transfer of Spanish youngster Ansu Fati.
The deal reportedly being negotiated is for a season-long loan with the Lilywhites as the 20-year-old looks to revive his career ahead of the 2024 UEFA European Championships.
The Blaugrana are open to letting him leave temporarily, but want any suitor willing to sign the La Masia alumni to cover the entirety of his wages for the 2023/24 campaign.
The LALIGA champions are said to have tried to sell the Spaniard on a permanent basis earlier on in this off-season, but with that failing to come to fruition, they now are willing to loan him out in a bid to further reduce their wage bill.
Fati's agent Jorge Mendes is rumoured to have also offered the player to the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, but it is their London rivals Spurs who have begun formal discussions over a move for the nine-cap La Furia Roja representative.

For much of the transfer window, it was believed Fati was reluctant to make a move away from the Camp Nou, but now, in the final days of the market, his departure from Catalonia seems increasingly likely.
