Chelsea have officially bid farewell to another attacker, as he has signed for Mamelodi Sundowns' FIFA Club World Cup opponents, Borussia Dortmund.

Blues midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka has just been announced as the Yellow and Blacks' latest acquisition.

The eight-time Bundesliga champions have signed the England youth international on a six-month loan deal. It has been reported that Dortmund have an option to buy and will be covering all of the 21-year-old's wages during his stay at Signal Iduna Park.
The Austrian-born attacker has been struggling for game time at Stamford Bridge ever since signing for the two-time European champions in 2022.
This season, under Enzo Maresca, Chukwuemeka has not been named in a single Premier League matchday squad, making all five of his appearances this campaign in cup competitions off the bench.

Now, he will have a chance to resurrect his career with the German giants under new manager Niko Kovac, as he becomes the club's first acquisition of the transfer window.
