According to The Athletic, Ghana star Mohammed Kudus is on the verge of completing a move to West Ham United.
Having seen a first bid rejected by Ajax Amsterdam, the east Londoners are said to have increased their next attempt to €41 million (R829 million), plus €3 million (R60 million) in add-ons, a fee that is expected to be accepted by the Dutch giants.
Chelsea and Brighton Hove Albion also reportedly held a serious interest in signing the Accra native, but the same report claims that personal terms over a five-year contract are in place for the 23-year-old to sign for the Hammers and become David Moyes' fourth arrival of the transfer window.
The Scotsman appears poised to secure a double swoop of Ajax players, having already completed the signing of defensive midfielder Edson Alvarez from the Eredivisie giants, and is now looking to address his forward line with the acquisition of Kudus.
Last season, the versatile attacker scored 18 goals and provided seven assists in all competitions for de Godenzonen, and already has a goal and an assist to his name in the opening two league matches of the 2023/24 campaign for the Dutch giants.
