FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi is the all-time leading goalscorer in El Clasicos, but continued his negative record against Real Madrid after drawing another blank on Saturday.

Ever since scoring a hat-trick in a 4-3 victory at the Santiago Bernabeu on 23 March 2014, a game that confirmed him as the prestigious fixture's all-time record scorer, the Argentine has failed to hit the back of the net against Los Blancos.
This is Messi's worst run in El Clasicos, a fixture that has seen him score 21 goals and assist another 13 strikes in 33 appearances.
However, on the weekend, he once again failed to leave his mark, squandering a great opportunity to make it 2-0 for his side in 82nd minute.
His shot following a superb assist from Andres Iniesta flew wide of goal, and minutes later Sergio Ramos equalised for Barcelona's bitter rivals.
Messi's counterpart Cristiano Ronaldo also failed to leave his mark on the match, but has netted three El Clasico goals during his opponent's recent drought.

Overall, Ronaldo has scored 16 goals in El Clasicos, while setting up just two further strikes.
