FC Barcelona stalwart Javier Mascherano has revealed how the Catalan club prepare themselves for the much anticipated Clasico against Real Madrid.
Barca Teammate: Messi Makes Us Look Like Cones
The Blaugrana, who have had an inconsistent season by their standards, go into the league match trailing Los Blancos by six points on the log, and will be hoping they can close the deficit a little.
The Argentine has explained that, while this fixture is different to any other he has played in, but added that the coaching staff do not necessarily change their training too much for it.
"Our coach prepares for this game like all the others, he doesn't make many changes," Mascherano said, as quoted by the Daily Mirror.
"We'll talk about some specific things they can do, because of how good they are, but besides that we will prepare for this one the way we do for the rest of our games.
"Psychologically you might play the game out in your head a little earlier than you would the other games, much like a Champions League final."
Mascherano also spoke about the strength in depth Real currently have at their disposal, and feels that this weekend's fixture will be another tough encounter.
"They (Madrid) are a very good team across the board," he added.
"They will be without an important player in (Gareth) Bale, but Real Madrid have shown this year their replacements have worked very well."
