Gerardo Martino's charges reached the final tournament for the second straight edition, but will be hoping to go one better this year.
Chile defeated Argentina on penalties to win the Copa America title on home soil last year.
La Albiceleste, led by Lionel Messi, have swept all before them on their way to the final and are favourites to lift the cup on Monday morning.
However, Maradona, who led Argentina to the 1986 World Cup crown, has fired a word of warning to Martino's charges.
"Of course I think we'll win," Maradon told C5N.
"But if you don't win, don't come back."
It is also the 30th anniversary of Maradona's famous solo goal against England at the World Cup in 1986.
"Butcher gave me a real big kick," he recalled.
"But when I saw the ball going in it stopped hurting right away. It was a dream goal."
