Venue: Olympiastadion Berlin
Eintracht Frankfurt bagged their first win of the Bundesliga season with a 3-1 success away to Hertha Berlin on Friday night.
Frankfurt began the season with a 1-1 draw against newly promoted Arminia Belefeld while Hertha managed to net four past Werder Bremen last weekend.
While the opening exchanges failed to produce the goals, the visitors were awarded a penalty on 30 minutes, which allowed Andre Silva to convert for the opening goal and his second for the campaign.
The lead was doubled six minutes later as Bas Dost nodded home a free-kick from Diachi Kamada for his first goal of the league season.
Hertha, meanwhile, struggled to stamp their authority on the encounter and only had Dodi Lukebakio's stinging shot on 31 minutes to show for their efforts in the opening 45 minutes.
The hosts responded with a triple change at the start of the second half as Krzysztof Piatek, Vladimír Darida and Peter Pekarík made way for Jhon Córdoba, Deyovaisio Zeefuik and Arne Maier.
The influx of changes did not make the desired impact for Hertha, as Frankfurt went onto bag a third goal through Sebastian Rode, who curled one into far corner on 71 minutes.
Hertha were gifted a consolation goal six minutes thereafter as Marcel Hinteregger turned Jordan Torunarigha's cross into his own net.
That was all Hertha managed to create in the second half as Frankfurt claim their first win of the season to move top of the standings.
