After missing out on last year's World XI, reports in Egypt suggest that Mohamed Salah has been selected for the 2019 Fifa Fifpro World Team of the Year even though the official line-up only comes out in two weeks' time.

According to FilGoal, the president of the Egyptian Association of Professional Players, Magdi Abdel Ghani, has announced Salah's inclusion in this year's selection.
The African superstar finished the 2018/19 campaign as the joint-Golden Boot winner in the Premier League, and helped Liverpool lift the Uefa Champions League title.

As a consequence, he was announced as one of three African nominees – the others being his teammate Sadio Mane and Napol's Kalidou Koulibaly – on the 55-man shortlist for the team.
The official Fifa Fifpro World XI, which was voted for by 23 000 professional players around the globe, will only be announced on 23 September during The Best Fifa Football Awards ceremony.
However, former Egypt international Abdel Ghani has claimed he received an email from Fifpro stating that Salah has made this year's World XI.

The selection lines up in 4-3-3 formation, which means there would only be two other sports available for other nominated forwards such as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe and Salah's teammate Mane, among others.
