The reigning Egyptian Premier League champions have endured a lot of instability this season.
Their long-time president Mortada Mansour was removed for his position at the club by the Egyptian Court of Administrative Justice after his prison sentence, among other things.
While the north African outfit had to deal with issues at an executive level, there has also been a lot of turmoil in terms of managers.
In the 2022/23 season alone, Zamalek have changed managers five times, and with their new boss Juan Carlos Osorio heavily linked with a move to Mexican giants Club America, the five-time African champions could be set for yet another managerial switch.
Mosimane, as a consequence, has been linked with a return to the Egyptian capital in light of the speculation pertaining to his future at Al Ahli.
However, Mansour, who is still taking responsibility of the club, has now set the record straight regarding their rumoured pursuit of the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly boss.
"Juan Carlos Osorio will remain in his position," the 70-year-old told members of the media, as per KingFut.
"There is no truth to the rumours about the negotiations with Hossam Hassan or Pitso Mosimane.
"The technical committee does not have the right to speak with anyone without referring to the board of directors."
