It has been a remarkable week in the history of the Red Castle.
On Thursday, their president Said Naciri stood in front of the Public Prosecutor of the Casablanca Court of Appeal to find out his fate after he was alleged to have stolen from Malian smugglers.
According to Le360, the Moroccan executive is being accused of having stolen money and real estate property from the west Africans through forgery of official documents.
The investigation into the matter remains ongoing as there are 25 other suspects being examined on charges of international drug trafficking, influence exploitation, money laundering, and forgery of official documents.
Naciri is not only president of Wydad but is also the parliamentary representative of the Authenticity and Modernity Party and the head of the Casablanca Labor Council.
However, that may not be the case for much longer, with Le Site Sport having reported that the prosecutor has requested that the chief of the north African giants be placed in Oukacha prison in Casablanca.
