Earlier this week, news emerged within Moroccan media that the Red Castle had received a letter from world football's governing body which stated that they would be prevented from signing players as of the upcoming transfer window. This is because they are believed to still owe one of their former stars in wages.
Cheick Comara left the club at the beginning of last season when Houcine Ammouta arrived, but the Ivorian is said to still be awaiting payment from the club and while this may be true, a source within Wydad has informed Kooora that the rumours of a letter being issued by FIFA pertaining to a embargo are false.
"The team is going through a difficult period, which is a free period that all major teams in the world are going through. Promoting this news makes the situation more complicated," the source claimed.
"The club has not received any notification from FIFA or the Moroccan Football Federation regarding the ban on registration, and it is open to settling all its disputes, specifically the final rulings issued by the Sports Arbitration Commission."
