The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has reportedly taken the decision to ban the recently jailed ex-presidents of Wydad Athletic Club and Raja Club Athletic.

From an administrative point of view, it has not been a pleasant year for two of Morocco's biggest club sides.
In December 2023, former chief of the Red Castle Said Naciri was arrested on charges relating to the theft of property belonging to a prominent drug trafficker.
More recently, the now-former head of the Green Eagles, Mohamed Boudrika, was apprehended in Germany and is awaiting extradition back to Morocco after he was arrested on an international search warrant for various charges issued by Moroccan authorities.

Naciri has only been permanently replaced recently following the announcement of Hicham Ait Menna as Wydad's new chief. In the case of the Moroccan champions, it is believed that the club's new interim president is Adel Halla.
No longer the heads of two of north Africa's biggest footballing institutions, the Moroccan duo's misery has seemingly been further compounded because, according to Kooora, in a meeting set to be held by the FRMF, a decision will be taken to expel both from the federation's executive office.

It is not only at executive level where both of these clubs have seen changes recently, but in the dugout as well.
Rulani Mokwena was recently appointed as Wydad's new head coach, while their rivals have chosen Rusmir Cviko to be the successor to Josef Zinnbauer.
