North African giants Pyramids have reportedly made a decision on their head coach's future following their recent CAF Champions League defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns.

It seems the Egyptian Premier League table-toppers are running out of patience with manager Jaime Pacheco following their latest continental defeat on Tuesday.
According to Kooora, the chiefs of the club are going to give the Portuguese until after the Egyptian Super Cup before they will make a final decision on whether to sack him or not.
Pyramids are currently on a four-game winless run, starting the streak with a defeat to Champions League minnows Nouadhibou.
They then drew with Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld and then repeated that feat four days later in their domestic league when they came up against Baladiyet El Mahallah, before losing to the DStv Premiership champions earlier this week.
The same report claims that Pyramids will travel to the United Arab Emirates to finalise preparations for their Super Cup semi-final against Future FC next week Monday, and it is only after that encounter that the club's hierarchy will sit down and discuss the security of Pacheco's role.
The club's chiefs are said to not be eager to pay out the rest of the former Zamalek manager's contract, but also feel the team's performances warrant further investigation into the Paredes native and what he is doing.

Pacheco is one of the longest-serving managers in the club's history, having been in charge since the beginning of 2023 and overseeing 51 matches, but now seems to be facing unprecedented pressure.
