Pyramids head coach Jaime Pacheco claims his star, South Africa international Fagrie Lakay, was unlucky to not find the back of the net against Mamelodi Sundowns in their latest CAF Champions League encounter.

Debutants in the Champions League, the Egyptian Premier League log leaders arrived at the home of the African Football League champions and managed to leave with a point on Sunday.
While it is likely that any other team taking part in their first-ever CAFCL campaign would have been happy with leaving Lofts Versfeld with only a point against Sundowns, Pacheco's sentiment was different as he felt his side could have been more clinical in front of goal.
"If you asked me before the match if I would have liked to draw against Mamelodi [Sundowns], I would accept that but after being in the match, seeing the players doing everything in the right way, mounting the tactics that I asked them to do, they were exceptional, doing everything right," the Portuguese tactician told members of the media in a post-game press conference.
"We understood how the domain of playing against Sundowns, they are a big team, they have a lot of solutions, they have a lot of options they can play with, but we did well, we understood how they are playing, we started understanding how we can defend and attack. I could say we could have won this game as well."
Quizzed on where he thought his team fell short, he claimed it was with balls into the final third, particularly highlighting the missed chances by former Cape Town City star Lakay.

"Our players did very well, but as I always say, in these championships everyone that has an opportunity to score a goal, should score a goal. So what our players didn't do well was the last pass," Pacheco added.
"So, yes, they went many times in front of the goal but it was a decision-making that [wasn't correct] sometimes we say we need luck as well, Lakay was in front of the goal and had a lot of opportunities, but luck wasn't on his side."
