FIFA has announced a ban on the Jangwani Street giants from registering players internationally.
The East African outfit are in arrears of $24 400 (R441 273) after it was determined they have not paid Ghanaian player Augustine Okrah his remaining wages.
An original ruling was already in place for the reigning Tanzanian champions to pay the player the outstanding amount, but with the club still failing to adhere to that verdict, the Swiss-based body has now been forced to impose a ban on them.
"We refer to the abovementioned matter, as well as the decision passed by FIFA in the matter ref. no. FPSD-15711 (the Decision). In this context, it appears that, despite the Decision, the Young Africans Sports Club (the respondent) has not yet complied with its financial obligations towards Augustine Okrah," a section of the statement read, as per GhanaWeb.
"In this regard, we wish to inform the parties that a ban from registering new players internationally has been implemented by FIFA on the Respondent. The registration ban will remain active until the amount due is paid.
"Lastly, the Tanzanian Football Federation is requested to immediately implement on the Respondent a ban from registering new players at an international level, if not done yet."
On top of the outstanding wages owed to the 31-year-old, FIFA has also stated that Yanga need to pay a fine of $3 000 (R54 222) within 30 days of the 11 November 2024 ruling.
