For the past two years, the CAF Awards have been held in Morocco, and according to SNRT News, the latest edition of the award ceremony will take place there once again.
It is said that it will be held on 16 December 2024, with the continent's biggest players, clubs and national teams set to congregate once again to be celebrated.
It is understood that the awards will praise notable achievements from individuals and teams that enjoyed success between September 2023 and June 2024.
The first ever CAF Awards were held in 2000, and it has been held every year ever since.
Perhaps the most coveted award that is up for grabs at every edition is the Men's African Player of the Year award.
Last year, it was Nigeria's Victor Osimhen who claimed the prize for his exploits with the Super Eagles and his parent club Napoli, becoming only the sixth player from the west African nation to win it.
While that may be the most eye-catching accolade that will be on offer, other notable awards include the Women's Player of the Year, Youth Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year and Interclub Player of the Year, among others.
The previous two CAF Award ceremonies were held in Maamora and Marrakech, respectively, but it seems the city the 2024 edition will be held in is yet to be determined.
