It appears the South African tactician could very well be welcoming another, perhaps not so new, face to Casablanca.
According to Transfermarkt, there have already been as many as 22 new signings that have arrived at the home of the Red Castle this past off-season.
With the new Botola Pro Inwi campaign having already begun for the record Moroccan champions, one would have presumed that Mokwena would be prioritising establishing cohesion among his new side, but fans of the three-time African champions could very well be welcoming a familiar face back to the club.
Aymane El Hassouni came through Wydad's youth ranks and successfully ascended to the club's first team, becoming a prominent player for the side.
He played 227 matches for the north African giants, scoring 26 goals and providing 23 assists as he helped helped them win multiple Botola Pro titles.
In 2023, however, El Hassouni called time on his stint with Wydad and completed a transfer to Qatari side Muaither SC.
His time in the host nation of the 2022 FIFA World Cup was shortlived, however, as a year later he made the move to the United Arab Emirates to play for Ajman Club.
That transition has also proved a failure, though, because three months into his time with the UAE Pro League side, his contract has already been terminated.
The attacking midfielder is now a free agent, and according to Analkhabar, Mokwena and Ait Menna are studying the possibility of signing the three-time Moroccan international.

The same report claims that the player will be making his way to Morocco shortly to train with Wydad at the Benjelloun Stadium.
