Zimbabwe Handed Tricky 2017 Afcon Draw

The draw for the 2017 Afcon finals was held in Libreville, Gabon on Wednesday night, which saw Zimbabwe land a tough group. The only competitor from Southern Africa, Zimbabwe will have to lock horns with the likes of Algeria, Tunisia, and Senegal in Group B. The group will play their games in Franceville, where PSL stars Khama Billiat, Tendai Ndoro, and Willard Katsande will hope to make the Warriors proud. With Bafana Bafana not involved at the tournament, football fans in South Africa may well look upon their neighbours as the team to adopt as 20 Zimbabweans ply their trade in the Absa Premiership. The opening clash of the tournament will see hosts Gabon take on Guinea-Bissau. Group A - Libreville Gabon Burkina Faso Cameroon Guinea-Bissau Group B - Franceville Algeria Tunisia Senegal Zimbabwe Group C - Oyem Ivory Coast DRC Marocco Togo Group D - Port-Gentil Ghana Mali Egypt Uganda
