Cameroon had seven European-based players snub AFCON call-ups, however one of Ghana's stars has reportedly ruled himself out for the tournament.

According to ghanasoccernet.com, Juventus star Kwadwo Asamoah has opted not to play for the Black Stars in Gabon next month.
It was believed that Ghana coach, Avram Grant, was going to select the midfielder for his final 23-man squad.
However, Asamoah has reportedly Grant that he wants to focus on Juventus at the time, as he looks to recover from a long-term injury.
Asamoah fears he could fall further down in the packing order should he not be available for the Serie A champions in January 2017.
Meanwhile, the seven Cameroonian stars who snubbed call-ups could face punishment, as the Cameroon federation is considering to take the matter to FIFA.
