Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has come under fire for the tactics he used away to his former club, FC Barcelona, and after their domestic cup defeat to Borussia Dortmund just a week before that – things don't seem to be going as planned for the Spaniard.
I believe that Guardiola could leave the Bavarians at the end of the season, as a team of their stature should be winning more than just one trophy in a campaign!
Last season, Guardiola seemed like the perfect man for the job, after getting off to a great start as manager by winning the DFB-Pokal, the league, the UEFA Supercup, and the FIFA Club World Cup – but have these recent weeks signalled the beginning of the end for the boss?
Guardiola had his medical staff walk out on him last month, with reports from the team saying that they felt blamed for the team's Champions League quarter-final first-leg defeat against Porto – following the injuries to several key players.
A video also went viral showing Guardiola clapping in their faces! Many saw this as disgraceful behaviour towards staff that served the club for over 40 years.
Bayern's loss to Barca on Wednesday night was their third in a row, after losing to Dortmund and then Bayer Leverkusen in the league, although they already have that campaign wrapped up.
Now, if we look at where the boss could possibly move to, there's only one club that comes to mind – Manchester City!
The Spaniard has already been linked with the English side, amidst rumours of a Manuel Pellegrini getting the sack at the end of the season.
Guardiola has previously said that he intends on staying at Bayern, but with the recent criticism, we may see him head for the exit doors.
Do you think that Pep could leave Bayern at the end of the season?
