The story
In what promises to be a domestic Moroccan football blockbuster, Rulani Mokwena's side are set to take on neighbours Raja Casablanca on Friday evening, 19:00.
Mokwena's Red Castle have had a shaky start to the Botola Pro 1 season, currently finding themselves sitting in sixth place with four wins, three draws, and three losses.
Wydad's cross-town rivals on the other hand, defending champions Raja are languishing in 11th place, as they struggle to emulate their Invincible season under former Orlando Pirates boss, Josef Zinnbauer.
In an open training session this week, Wydad's passionate supporters showed just how much they believe in Rulani's process and are willing to back their manager through a tricky period of mixed results.
The chanting supporters held up a sign that was written in isiZulu, that read: "Ndawonye, masiye enkazimulweni." [Together, let's strive for glory]
This gesture from the Wydad supporters shows the strong bond Mokwena has forged with them, a positive relationship that crosses language barriers.
