Liverpool's Sadio Mane had a day to forget his side not only lost 5-0 against Manchester City, but he got sent off for kicking Ederson in the face. However, he has since left him a heartfelt note. Did you see it?
The Senegalese striker was shown an instant red when he collided with Ederson just minutes before the half-time the break, which saw his boot horrifically connect to the side of the Brazilian's face.
Unsurprisingly, Mane was given his marching orders, and after going down to 10 men, the Citizens opened the floodgates and put four more past the Reds', with Serio Aguero having already opened the scoring in the 24th minute.
Thankfully, Ederson escaped serious injury, but he did require stitches and needed to be taken off the field immediately.
After the game, Mane took to Instagram to write a heartfelt apology to Ederson, before the Brazilian addressed the concerns of his fans by saying he was "fine".
Respect to Mane for issuing an apology so quickly. Do you think City still would have won by such a high margin if Liverpool hadn't gone down to 10 men?
