What's the story?
After a slow start to life in France, Messi is slowly growing into his role at Paris Saint Germain. Even at the age of 34, many supporters expected the Argentine to hit the ground running in Ligue 1.
The former Barcelona endured a number of injuries at the beginning of the campaign and now with his injury troubles seemingly behind him, Messi has begun showing glimpses of getting back to his best again.
In PSG's most recent 3-1 win over St Étienne, Messi produced two assists, as he topped the Ligue 1 assist chart with 10 to his name so far.
Assist King
In 23 games so far for PSG, Messi has managed to score just 7 goals however, his 11 assists in all competitions became a massive talking point on social media in the last couple of days. Also forming part of the discussion was that of Messi being spotted swapping shirts with one of the St Étienne players.
Lucky Man
The Argentine is said to have strict rules about shirt swapping and previously mentioned that he only ever asked Zinedine Zidane for a swap and does not make a request for a player's shirt.
In a video that continues to make its rounds on social media, Messi was seen engaging with Falaye Sacko before the two players proceeded to swap shirts. It's not known who requested the shirt swap, however, Sacko is one of the luckiest footballers to have received a shirt from the seven time Ballon d'Or winner.
