The story
Buccaneers shot-stopper Melusi Buthelezi released a statement on Thursday evening to his Instagram followers, revealing that he's taking a break from social media.
This came shortly before ex-Pirates coach, Rulani Mokwena released his own statement on taking a digital break to detox and benefit his mental wellbeing among other reasons.
The former TS Galaxy keeper, who's started just one game this season in the Nedbank Cup vs Richards Bay FC, thanked his followers for the support they've shown him this season, admitting that the encouragement he receives has made a significant impact on him.
"After careful consideration, I've chosen to take a brief rejuvenation break from social media. This isn't a farewell but rather a 'see you later' as I concentrate on revitalising my mind, body, and spirit," wrote the 27-year-old on his IG post.
"My time away won't be prolonged, during this period, I aim to be intentional about my work, nurture my relationships with loved ones, and prioritise my wellbeing," he added.
