"Chiefs are also interested in that Richards Bay striker that Pirates have enquired about before, Yanela Mbuthuma. For now it's just the interest from the team. I am not sure if there is anything official yet from Chiefs to talk to Richards Bay. But what I can tell you is that Chiefs are interested in him," the insider stated.
Meanwhile, a second insider stated that it might be challenging for Richards Bay to sell him next season but ultimately money might talk when it comes to a final decision on what to do.
"Yes, it's true Richards Bay still need Yanela (Mbuthuma) mainly for next season. But you know that football is business these days so if the money is good then they may consider it. And it's also true there has been interest in him but I don't know if there is any team that has officially presented an offer so far," the second source stated.

Mbuthuma has played most games this season, and he's got among the goals but not enough to prove that he can solve Chiefs' scoring problems on his own. Nevertheless, he scored one of the goals when Richards Bay beat Amakhosi 2-0 in the PSL on Sunday.
Soccer Laduma reached out to Chiefs for comment, but there was no response at the time of publishing the story.
