As the Club World Cup trophy continues to make its way across the African continent, visiting all the clubs that will be taking part in its revamped iteration, it looks as though some are already beginning their preparations for the tournament itself.
The Red Castle, along with Mamelodi Sundowns, Al Ahly, and Esperance de Tunis, will be the Confederation of African Football's representatives at the global spectacle, and the record Moroccan champions are allegedly formulating ways to best prepare themselves for the competition.
According to WinWin, the Botola Pro Inwi outfit want to have a pre-tournament camp before heading to the United States of America but are yet to decide between Spain or Qatar.
The same report claims that Turkey was also in contention as a potential destination but has now been ruled out, leaving the two aforementioned countries as the frontrunners.
It is understood that a decision will be made in the coming days about where the team will be headed, but before club president Hicham Ait Menna comes to a definitive conclusion, he wants to consult with Rulani Mokwena.
The South African tactician initially struggled to find consistency with Wydad upon taking over the club, but now the Johannesburg native has repaid the patience placed in him by delivering consistent results, as the Casablanca-based institution have now won four straight league matches.
