The South African star will spend the rest of the season with the Moroccan giants, who are also set to play in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
According to reports from Morocco, Lorch's move to Casablanca came at the recommendation of manager Rulani Mokwena, who also previously gave the green light for the player to join Sundowns from Orlando Pirates in January 2024.
Lorch is now the second South African footballer in the Wydad squad, alongside striker Cassius Mailula.
With the transfer having only been confirmed recently, it is now reported that Lorch can get into the thick of things almost instantly.
According to Moroccan news publisher Anbaetv, Wydad have received the international transfer certificate for Lorch, giving the player clearance to play for the club immediately.
As such, the 31-year-old star is reportedly eligible to play this coming Sunday when Wydad take on Hassania Union Sport Agadir in the Botola Pro 1.
Should Lorch impress by the end of the season, Wydad have the option to make his deal permanent.
