Since Al Hilal head coach Jorge Jesus admitted that the Brazilian superstar would not be registered to compete in the rest of the Saudi Arabian domestic season, speculation has been rife about the 32-year-old's future with the Blue Wave.
Recent reports have suggested that a return to his boyhood club Santos may be on the cards for Brazil's all-time top goalscorer, but now it has been revealed that another one of his former clubs may be in contention to welcome him back.
Barcelona is perhaps where Neymar's individual prowess best culminated in team success, and now the sporting director of the Blaugrana, Deco, has revealed that they would be more than happy to welcome the Mogi das Cruzes native.
"Neymar's return to Barca was always a remote possibility. Since his departure to Saudi Arabia, we have understood that he is an expensive player with great financial demands, especially with regard to the rules of the 'economic fair play' of the League," Deco told TNT Brazil.
"At his best, Neymar is one of the best players in the world. He still is and always will be. He is welcome at any club in the world. An operation cannot be ruled out, but I see him returning to Brazil right now.
