The first half of Mokwena's debut campaign in the Botola Pro Inwi has come and gone, and the Johannesburg native seems to be becoming more comfortable with his new surroundings.
The South African tactician initially struggled to put successive wins together when he first joined the Red Castle. However, this past weekend, he secured three successive league victories for the first time when they beat Difaa El Jadida 2-1.
As the 2024/25 campaign progresses, it seems the 38-year-old has been able to identify which players are best suited to help his team move forward, while also deciding which stars are now surplus to requirements.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns head coach arrived in Casablanca and brought plenty of new faces. However, according to Le 360 Sports, a few of them will now be leaving the record Moroccan champions.
With M'Baye Niang joining Italian second-division side Sampdoria and Chouaib Faidi moving to FUS Rabat, the same report claims that Oussama Mahrous, Zacarias Ghailan, Hicham Ait Brayem, Nabil Marmouk, Mounir Habach, and Zakaria Nassik are players that Mokwena has told club president Hicham Ait Menna he no longer needs.
It is understood that these players will either be loaned out or will have their respective contracts terminated.
