The story
Mamelodi Sundowns took a step closer to the CAF Champions League quarterfinals, coming from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over AS Maniema Union at the Stade des Martyrs on Saturday afternoon.
Masandawana have Peter Shalulile's brilliance to thank for the all-important three points after the Namibian came off the bench to header in the equaliser and enforce a last-gasp own goal.
In the dressing room after the encounter, "Sha-Sha" was serenaded by his teammates who hyped him up by chanting his name repeatedly.
The club shared a glimpse into wholesome scenes of Shalulile being celebrated by his teammates, as well as a warm embrace from a relieved Sundowns head coach, Miguel Cardoso.

Despite being linked with a move away from Sundowns, who are reportedly entertaining offers for the 31-year-old, that performance from the sharp shooter and post-match reception afterwards suggests Shalulile is happy at Chloorkop.
The transfer rumours don't come as a surprise as his impact has been minimised a bit, having started less than half of Downs' 25 matches across all competitions. He has also made nine substitute appearances, scoring five goals.
Downs supporters online, some of which have criticised Shalulile's performances this season, heaped praise on the striker's efforts on Saturday.

Was always hilarious seeing people question Peter Shalulile's place in this @Masandawana squad.

He's a very important player, and this is only the beginning.
I love how Miguel Cardoso is managing him, as well. Spot on. #Sundowns #CAFCL #BetwayPrem pic.twitter.com/OpyLY6ewfy

I said it in May last year and I will say it again. Peter Shalulile will leave my club only when he feels he wants to retire. https://t.co/koFOq6arW7

I can't believe that Maniema Union almost reduced our chances of qualifying for CAF Champions League quarter finals this past weekend. ??

Thank you once again Peter Shalulile for bailing us out. ???? pic.twitter.com/U7ikPqjZOj
Those crosses from Allende and Mokoena proved that if our team plays to Peter Shalulile's strength then he will easily break records again because what I saw today is definitely the reason Shalulile was shining when we had Lakay back then.
