Nicholas Mynhardt
Chiefs took a chance on then 20-year-old Mynhardt in 2012 after the blond haired striker was shortlisted in the top 100 (among over 100, 000 trialists) global Nike the Chance trials, which were held in Barcelona. However, after a three-year contract, he could not break through.
Sakhile Hlongwa
Chiefs signed Hlongwa also in 2012 as a 17-year-old after he impressed playing for Ethekwini Coastals against Orlando Pirates. He was also offered a three-year contract but did not have first team opportunities.
Ryan Moon
Amakhosi signed Moon as a 19-year-old from Maritzburg United in 2016. The younger brother of Bryce, had a relative success at Naturena, with seven goals in 44 games.
Emmanuel Letlotlo
Letlotlo was a top goalscorer for Chiefs in the 2015/16 DStv Diski Challenge with nine goals and was promoted to the senior team the following campaign at age 20. However, he also did not have enough first team chances.

Yusuf Bunting
Bunting was fresh from being crowned Best player and top goalscorer in the SAB U-21 National Championship for Gauteng when was handed a four-year contract at Chiefs in 2017. He also did not rise to the occasion.
Keletso Sifama
Sifama was promoted in the 2019/20 by former coach Ernst Middendorp but things went sour for him at Amakhosi after the German coach was relieved of his duties.
Sizwe Twala
Twala finished as joint-top goalscorer, (alongside Khanyisa Mayo) in the 2018/19 Diski Challenge season with 11 goals and was promoted for the 2019/20 Premiership campaign at age 22. However, he also found it difficult to break through.
