Jose Riveiro, head coach of Orlando Pirates, has acknowledged that national team management is evolving, with younger coaches increasingly being given top roles, but confirmed that he is not currently looking to take on a national team role.

There has been a significant shift from the past when experienced managers dominated such positions. Despite the changing trend, Riveiro, after leading the Carling All Star team to a 3-0 victory over Magesi in the Carling All-Star match on Saturday,
Asked about coaching Bafana Bafana or any other national side, Riveiro emphasized his commitment to Orlando Pirates, where he has spent two and a half seasons.
"You never know. Right now my focus is obviously on the responsibility that I have, trust me I have enough. Usually national teams used to be for coaches with more experience, but you can see it is changing right now there are some young coaches at top national teams in the world," he told journalists, making it clear that his attention is on Pirates, not any national team opportunities at this stage.
"But who knows? I like coaching and doing my best when I'm invited to such spaces, I don't think so much about what happens in the future," he added.
While the landscape of national team management is changing, with younger coaches bringing fresh perspectives, Riveiro remains dedicated to his work at Pirates, where he continues to build success. His focus remains firmly on the club for the foreseeable future.
