Soweto giants Orlando Pirates are determined to dethrone Mamelodi Sundowns as champions this season and they are expected to make a serious push to acquire the services of Oswin Appollis and Thabang Matuludi from Polokwane City.

It would be a big loss for Rise and Shine if they were to lose these two players during the January transfer, but head coach Phuti Mohafe has shown that he can get the team to perform even without some of the big stars in the team.
At Sundowns, there is a chance that right back Zuko Mdunyelwa could be loaned out for the rest of the season. Competition has been tough for the former Chippa United defender with Khuliso Mudau and Thapelo Morena playing there.
The 25-year-old Mdunyelwa has made three appearances in all competitions for Sundowns, two as a substitute in the Premiership and one as a starter in the CAF Champions League.
Kaizer Chiefs defender Zitha Kwinika is yet to make an appearance for the club this season and there is a possibility that they could allow him to go to get game time elsewhere.

Moves for George Matlou and Mduduzi Mdantsane have not been ruled out as well, as the Siya crew understands they may not be in the plans of head coach Nasreddine Nabi.
