With new Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim seemingly shaping a tactical identity for the club, it appears that the Portuguese's transfer wishlist is also coming together.
According to GiveMeSport, the 39-year-old tactician views Tottenham Hotspur captain Heung-min Son as a viable target as he looks to assemble a team that can bring the best out of his 3-4-2-1 formation.
The Mancunians had a famous South Korean among their ranks in Ji-sung Park between 2005 and 2012, but Spurs' skipper is widely regarded as the nation's greatest-ever representative in the Premier League, having scored over 100 goals in the English top flight and winning the 2022/23 Golden Boot award.
Son's current contract at Spurs is set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, and it is believed that Amorim appreciates the 32-year-old's qualities.
However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has previously reported that the North Londoners have an option to extend his contract by a further year.
Rumours of negotiations regarding an extension are yet to surface. Should Spurs decide to trigger the option of an additional year, they run the risk of losing their talisman on a free transfer.
