It seems Percy Tau is not the only attacker from the Club of the Century attracting interest from the record Moroccan champions as the mid-season transfer window approaches.
Earlier this season, reports emerged that the Red Castle were keen to sign the South African forward from the Egyptian capital. Now, another attacker from the same club appears to be on Wydad's radar.
Reda Slim arrived in Cairo with high expectations following his breakout season with AS FAR Rabat during the 2022/23 campaign, during which he played a pivotal role in helping the Royal Army secure the league title.
The 25-year-old contributed 13 goals and 14 assists in that campaign, performances that drew the attention of the Red Devils. However, since joining Al Ahly, he has struggled to make a significant impact.
This season, Slim has yet to start a single match under Marcel Koller, prompting interest from Moroccan giants Wydad and Raja Club Athletic. It is understood that Slim is open to joining Mokwena's charges, but only if an agreement can be reached with Al Ahly's management.
According to Kooora, however, the 12-time CAF Champions League winners have not yet received any offers from Moroccan clubs.
"There are no official offers regarding Reda Selim. Some agents are talking about the interest of some Qatari clubs in the services of the Moroccan player, but in reality, we have not received anything official," a club source said.
