With Percy Tau's Al Ahly fate all but sealed, the 30-year-old is understood to be in a R9 million standoff with the Egyptian giants, according to reports.
The writing is on the wall for Tau - he will leave Al Ahly!
Whether or not this move happens in January or June is dependent on whether the attacker gets his wish of a R9 million payout for the remainder of his contract according to multiple reports in Egypt.

The reports have stated that Al Ahly are desperate to let go of Tau in the upcoming January transfer window; however, the club is only willing to pay half of Tau's demanded amount, which is approximately R4.5 million.
It is an unceremonious end to what has been a fruitful three-year spell at the club for Tau, in which he has won more than 10 trophies in total with the club.
Despite the ongoing standoff, Tau made a late second-half appearance in Al Ahly's CAF Champions League win against Stade d'Abidjan on Tuesday.
