The story
Bernard Parker took to Instagram to share a touching farewell message to his ex-coach at TS Galaxy, Sead Ramovic, regarding the Serbian mentor as a "true friend."
Sead Ramovic dramatically quit his job during his live post match interview with SuperSport TV on Wednesday after The Rockets played out a 1-1 draw against Stellenbosch in Cape Town in the Betway Premiership.
The Rockets have endured a winless start to the 2024/25 league season, seeing them languish at the bottom of the table with four losses and just two draws to their name.
Parker, who called time on his successful playing career at the end of last season to take up a coaching up with TS Galaxy's reserves, reserved some special words for Ramovic amid his departure.
The last couple of season's of Die Hond's playing days were served under the tutelage of Ramovic, whom he shared a close relationship with on and off the field.
"I have never in my 20years as a professional footballer came across a person who is so honest and clear to the players and staff, all in the name of personal growth, improvement, in life and in football," wrote Parker in his dedication post to Ramovic.
"On and off the field, It was an absolute pleasure being coached by you and of course the support of your technical team. A true friend, a true gentleman, a brother and a great person who only wants and fights for the best for his team.
"Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours, sir," concluded Parker in his touching message.
