The story
Itumeleng Khune is ready to enter a new chapter in his life as a shareholder and the face of a new betting company, Topbet SA.
The brand was launched on Wednesday evening at a star-studded event hosted at Rockets in Bryanston, with Khune ready to certify his legacy beyond football.
There's been plenty of speculation surrounding Khune's future after his Kaizer Chiefs contract expired in June, with Mzansi's former number 1 hyping the event by revealing last week that he has special announcement to make.
As Khune's playing days edge closer to reaching its conclusion and with the legend currently without a club, it wouldn't have been surprising if he decided to call time on his successful football career.
Instead, it was a night of celebration for Khune, who was joined by his wife and close friends in announcing his partnership with Top Bet.
Khune's former teammate, George Lebese was on hand to support the 90-capped former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper on his special night, with DJ Speedsta and Twins on Decks providing the soundtrack for the evening.
Famed South African poet and singer, Mzwakhe Mbuli also made an appearance, as well as former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo.
