According to Assabah, the record Tunisian champions are courting Marrakesh-born tactician Adil Ramzi as they continue their search for a replacement to Miguel Cardoso.
Multiple managers have been linked with the position since the Portuguese's departure, with former Orlando Pirates bosses Milutin Sredojevic and Josef Zinnbauer rumoured to be candidates for the Blood and Gold.
A new name has now emerged, however, with Ramzi believed to be of particular interest to the chiefs of the four-time CAF Champions League winners.
The 47-year-old's lone head coaching role at senior level came with the Red Castle last season, during which he led them to the African Football League final, where he was defeated by Mamelodi Sundowns, who were then coached by current Wydad boss Rulani Mokwena.
The former winger was relieved of his duties in December 2023, and has since taken up the role of coaching the Netherlands U18 national team.
The same report claims that the north African giants view him as the ideal man to lead the team going forward and are said to have already offered him a contract.

It remains to be seen whether or not Esperance will successfully negotiate the termination of Ramzi's current contract with the Royal Dutch Football Association, but it seems they are keen on bringing the Moroccan back to African club football.
