Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly coach has emerged as a strong candidate to take over one of Iran's biggest clubs, the Siya crew has learnt.
Following their slow start to the season, that has seen them pick up just one win from their opening seven games, Iranian giants Esteghlal Khuzestan FC are said to be considering the services of Mosimane.

According to Iranian media, the 60-year-old is a strong candidate for the job, with the club believed to be keen on opening talks with Mosimane's camp over a possible switch.
Mosimane has been out of a job since June this year after parting ways with Saudi outfit Abha Club, though he has been linked with a number of jobs including the Nigerian National Team and Raja Casablanca amongst other clubs.
The Iranian outfit are no strangers to South Africans, with attacker Ayanda Patosi having been on the club's books in 2019.
Attempts to get hold of Mosimane's management team proved unsuccessful at the time of publishing this report.
