Amid talk that he could be heading out on loan, Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Manqoba Mngqithi has provided an update on midfielder Sipho Mbule.

Earlier this week, Mbule's agent Mike Makaab was coy on whether or not the player would be leaving on a season-long loan to Sekhukhune United, although he did confirm that there was a possibility of a move happening.
The player was once again a notable absentee for Sundowns as they managed a 2-0 Premiership opening day win over his former club SuperSport United, but Mngqithi has provided an update on the 26-year-old.
"Sipho Mbule has been training very well. He still has issues because he is coming from an injury but he is already in full training," Mngqithi said in the post-match press conference, after victory over SSU.
"He is a very good player, you know his quality is second to none. However, there are some areas of his football that must improve. He is a very good player and we are happy to have him around," he explained.
With just two days to go before the PSL transfer window slams shut, it remains to be seen whether or not Sekhukhune will manage to get the Mbule deal over the line before then.
