The story
Aubrey Modiba put on another solid performance for South Africa as he assisted Oswin Appolis' first goal in Bafana Bafana's 3-2 triumph away to South Sudan, in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier played at the Juba Stadium on Tuesday.
Modiba followed up a lively display at left-back against Uganda with a tireless effort against the South Sudanese, with his efforts being appreciated by his teammates and ballers alike.
The 28-year-old Sundowns star shared a gallery of images from Friday's game against Uganda after Bafana's dramatic win over South Sudan.
The likes of Cape Town City midfielder and Bafana international, Kamohelo Mokotjo reserved special praise for 'Postman', with national men's team skipper Ronwen Williams; Banyana Banyana and Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies star Bambanani Mbane also showing the versatile Modiba love.
Evidence Makgopa, Relebohile Mofokeng, Nkosinathi Sibisi, Kelesto Makgalwa and Kabelo Dlamini all joined boarded the Modiba Hype Train on the player's recent Instagram post.
"Class. You make everyone look better. Top player, you," wrote Mokotjo.
"Too nice," reads Ronwen Williams' comments, with former Kaizer Chiefs star and Cape Town City assistant coach, Lebohang Manyama complimenting Modiba and writing: "Lovely player."
