Speaking to reporters ahead of the Republic of Ireland's UEFA Nations League clash with Greece on Tuesday, goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher admitted he has attempted to move on from the Reds on a number of occasions.
The shot-stopper has made 47 appearances for Liverpool's first team since his arrival 2019, having largely been used as a back-up option to No. 1 Allison Becker in recent seasons.
Kelleher, however, has impressed when deputising for the Brazilian with performances that have led him to believe he is "good enough" to get regular game time.
The Reds' recent signing of Giorgi Mamardashvili, who will officially arrive in England from Valencia next year, means it is unlikely that will happen at Liverpool.
"I've made it clear in the last few years that I want to go and be a No. 1 and play week in, week out," he said, according to the BBC.
"The club's made that decision to get another goalkeeper and from the outside looking in, it looks like they've made a decision to go in a different direction.
"Sometimes from the outside looking in, it looks like that's 100% my decision but at times it's not always in my hands.
"It's been reported that Liverpool have rejected a few bids as well. My ambition is clear that I think I'm good enough and I want to go out and prove it."
