According to the Liverpool Echo, the Egypt international would prefer to continue at the Reds ahead of the expiration of his contract in England in 2025.
Salah has previously been strongly linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, although it is suggested the experienced winger, who has started the new season in fine form, could be wanting to avoid turning out like Mane.
The Senegalese superstar has been the subject of plenty criticism in the Middle East since his 2023 transfer from Bayern Munich to Al Nassr.
Despite contributing to 30 goals in his debut campaign in Saudi, Mane's future has been a hot topic throughout this transfer window, amid reports the Knights of Najd were looking to offload him.
Salah, meanwhile, is also rumoured to be interested in closing the gap on Liverpool's all-time top goalscorer Ian Rush, whom he trails by 132 strikes overall and just 71 in league football.
In addition, the 32-year-old feels completely settled in Liverpool, where he has spent the past seven seasons of his career, and would be reluctant to make a change.
