With Mohamed Salah in the final year of his contract at Liverpool, one of his teammates has pleaded for the club icon to stay at the club.

The Egyptian superstar has less than 12 months remaining on his current deal with the Reds.
After yet another dazzling performance against Manchester United this past weekend, when he registered two assists and a goal in their 3-0 win over their eternal rivals, the two-time CAF Men's Player of the Year suggested that this may very well be his final year playing for the Merseysiders.
However, Luis Diaz, the man who was on the end of Salah's two assists at Old Trafford, has urged the 32-year-old to extend his stay at the club.
"It would be hard for us, it would be hard for Liverpool. It's going to hurt us a lot [if Salah leaves]. He still has a year to think about it, it's not easy. He always gives his very best," the Colombian winger told Telemundo
"He has done it from the start. It would be very hard to lose a key player like him. It's his decision and we respect that, but I hope he doesn't leave."
The Nagrig native has started the 2024/25 season in impressive form once again, having scored three goals and assisted a further three strikes in the opening three matches of the new Premier League campaign.

It is rumoured that the chiefs at Melwood are yet to commence negotiations over a new deal for the legendary forward, and as the season progresses without Salah extending, the more speculation over an exit will intensify.
